Based on the plastic‑encapsulated Series TP safety switch with guard locking, the STP Series features both an actuating head and an internal cam made of metal. As a result, the switch can be used for applications which require high locking forces (up to 2,500 N). The STP Series safety switch has a switching element with up to four switching contacts. EUCHNER supplies the STP with various contact combinations (positively driven NC contacts / NO contacts).
Dual‑channel wiring to achieve the maximum possible safety level is possible with all variants. Because they can switch currents as low as 1 milliamp, STP series safety switches are suitable for use on safe controllers.
