IDEC's universal logic module is easy to program, either directly or with WindLGC software, and is loaded with features.

The IDEC SmartRelay series can replace multiple relays, timers, and counters in many applications. More advanced than a time delay relay, but less expensive than a Micro PLC, the IDEC SmartRelay series fills the need for a small, flexible control and monitoring device. It is the ideal solution for managing automatic lighting, access control, watering systems, pump control, or ventilation systems.

IDEC SmartRelay integrates programming and display functions into the control unit with an on-board display (LCD) and keypad. Enter and modify programs, or monitor status information, with no need for additional hardware. IDEC also offers WindLGC, an easy-to-use, Windows-based software package that creates and simulates programs for the SmartRelay series with drag and drop simplicity. Plug-in memory modules make it easy to back up and store data, or even transfer programs between multiple IDEC SmartRelays. Basic versions of the SmartRelay series also are available without the LCD or keypad, programmable only through memory cartridges or WindLGC.

The IDEC SmartRelay series is available with control voltages of 12VDC, 24VDC, 24VAC, and 100-240VAC. Models are available with relay (10A per point) or transistor outputs, with I/O counts of 10 (6 inputs, 4 outputs) or 12 (8 inputs, 4 outputs). All DC powered models include two inputs that can be used as either analog or digital inputs. It is programmable using 29 distinct function blocks that can be combined to form up to 56 blocks of logic. A real time clock and calendar allow for advanced scheduling flexibility.
