These initiatives include transforming the Kooltronic Corporate offices and their factory to solar power, establishing a environmentally-friendly wildlife habitat, using ozone-friendly cooling agents and recycling their own product scraps to aid in safeguarding the environment and atmosphere.

• Solar Energy - Kooltronic presently collects power from over 2,600 rooftop solar power panels. At the time of it's construction, this solar energy unit was among the biggest industrial setups in New Jersey. Solar energy does not require gas and does not produce waste or contaminantes. This freedom from non-renewable power sources is an instance of Kooltronic's devotion to the atmosphere, and evidence of Kooltronic's dedication to a greener future.



• Environmentally-Friendly Refrigerants - Kooltronic was among the first manufacturers in the industry to make use of ozone-friendly R-134A refrigerant in their air conditioning units. Starting in 1992, Kooltronic has utilized R-134A in all their Air Conditioner units for which R-134A Compatible Compressors are commercially available.



• Wildlife Habitat - "The state of New Jersey has experienced rapid over-development that threatens normal species," stated Barry Freedman, head of state of Kooltronic. "Our 100-acre site has substantial space to assist indigenous songbirds and waterfowl, so we are taking procedures to establish a safe and welcoming environment for them.".
  Kooltronic has initiated procedures to protuct many of the wildlife species within the perimeter of their industrial center. Volunteers from Kooltronic and local Boy Scouts created and positioned wild bird feeding and housing stations throughout the outer premises of the Kooltronic headquarters in New Jersey.
  In June of 2006 Kooltronic, Inc. was a recipient of the Conservation and Open Space Award from the New Jersey State Alliance of Sportsperson's Clubs in recognition of their initiatives to sustain open space and wildlife within those spaces.



• Recycling Throughout the Range - Kooltronic reuses workplace paper, soda containers and cans, along with fragment metal left over from the Air Conditioner production procedure. Lowering waste via these initiatives aids in protecting the atmosphere by conserving sources and electricity. Kooltronic has made recycling a regular task in both manufacturing and administrative tasks.
