Symcom: Learn About Symcom Products Here >
SymCom is an industrial electronic control manufacturer. Since 1974, SymCom has built a reputation around the production
of outstanding motor protection devices at a low cost. SymCom is often recognized by their brand names: MotorSaver and PumpSaver, which
have gained a large customer acceptance. They also specialize in the manufacturing of Current and Voltage Motors, Overload Relays,
Custom Electronic Control, Intrinsically-Safe Relays, Timers and Flashers.
The History of SymCom and The MotorSaver
SymCom and the Industry
The SymCom Product Line
SymCom was founded in 1974, with their headquarters residing in Rapid City, SD. In 1974, SymCom also developed the original MotorSaver, then called, the Model 1000. The original MotorSaver was unique, in that it utilized patented SymCom technology that allowed for voltage to be sensed within the MotorSaver circuit. The circuit measured the positive sequence currents in a
three-phase electric system. Compared to similar devices in the market, The MotorSaver was (and still is) a very inexpensive
and high quality motor defense mechanism.
The success of The MotorSaver product line has lead to an enormous and rapid growth in the SymCom Company, as a whole. This aggressive growth was highlighted by the acquisition of New York based competitor, SSAC, in 2010. SymCom is an industry leader when it comes to industrial electronic controls that sense inaccuracies such as:
Since their early beginnings in 1974, the SymCom product line has grown in to a wide array of electric and electrical devices, such as
relays, timers, pump controls and many other products. A sampling of this product line includes:

SymCom is an industry leader when it comes to industrial electronic controls that sense inaccuracies such as:
- high voltage and low voltage
- voltage unbalance
- single phasing and phase reversal
- over current
- current unbalance
- clogged pipes (in pumping systems)
- dry well (in pumping systems)
Since their early beginnings in 1974, the SymCom product line has grown in to a wide array of electric and electrical devices, such as
