ABB miniature circuit breakers offer a compact solution to protection requirements. For branch protection ABB offers the S500 series.
S500 is equipped with a thermal and/or electromagnetic release to protect circuits, motors, switchgear and systems from the effects of
overload and short-circuit currents. For supplemental protection, The S2 is available with application-specific trip characteristics
to provide maximum circuit protection. The circuit breakers offer thermal-magnetic trip protection according to B, C, D, K and Z
characteristics. These characteristics indicate the absolute minimum current level that causes the miniature breaker to trip without
a deliberate time delay (less that one hundred milliseconds). For the worldwide market, ABB miniature circuit breakers all carry UL,

in installations with wye or delta distribution systems since use of the circuit breaker at 480 V AC is guaranteed. ABB molded case
