Filters
Electronic filters are devices that process and remove unwanted frequencies from a signal or power line. The most common type of filter is the passive filter, which uses a combination of resistor, inductors and capacitors to block or conduct high or low frequency signals.

A low-pass filter allows low frequencies to “pass” through the circuit and suppresses high frequencies, and high-pass filters allow high frequencies to pass. Band-pass filters allow frequencies within a certain range, and band-stop filters allow frequencies outside of a certain range. The type of filter used depends on application requirements.

Electronic filters are typically used to suppress electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, mitigate harmonics, and protect valuable equipment like motors and drive from undesired power conditions.

Matrix AP Series Image
  • Adapts to varying power loads
  • Best performance in the industry
  • Extends the service life of electrical equipment
  • Generator compatible
  • Performance guarantee
Simply put, the Matrix AP is the most advanced passive filter on the market today. Most traditional filters work fine at 100% power load, but severely underperform at lower loads. Matrix AP is different, because we know almost no one runs at full load all the time. Its patented Adaptive Passive Technology virtually eliminates harmonic distortion by adapting to varying power loads. It delivers better THID performance, increases energy efficiency, and allows you to meet IEEE-519 requirements. Its unique design generates less heat, and is easy to install and maintain. Plus it is generator compatible. With Matrix AP Harmonic Filters, power quality, energy efficiency and reduced downtime are easy to achieve.
