Pilz Safety Relays combine many years of experience with today's latest safety technology. They have a narrow housing that is up to 50 percent
smaller than standard safety relays and can be as small as 12 and a half millimeters or half an inch. Thanks to their innovative spring-loaded
technology, plug-in terminals, and contact expansions with the use of jumpers, the amount of wiring can be reduced up to 20 percent.

Types of Pilz Safety Relays
High switching capabilities of up to 12 amps ensure high machine availability and a long service life for the PNOZsigma units. When servicing,
diagnostics are available quickly at a glance: each PNOZ sigma has 6 LED indicators displaying switch and fault conditions. Since diagnostics are
available quickly when servicing, there's no need to connect external measuring devices.
Using operating mode selector switches you can set your PNOZ sigma unit to suit your own process and safety requirements. It has a selectable
reset mode that can be changed between manual, automatic, monitored and start-up testing. It can be selected with or without detection of
shorts across contacts.
Time delays are also selectable between 0 and 300 seconds and you can choose a timer function such as delay-when energized, delay when
de-energized, and pulsing.
The safety relay also includes a protective flap cover for its setting elements to protect against manipulation and contamination. If necessary,
it can also be sealed.
