Allen Bradley PLC5 Modules

We Repair ALLEN BRADLEY PLC5 Modules
When you send an Allen Bradley PLC5 module to Galco, you put our 30 plus years of industrial electronic repair experience to work for you. Galco has provided the highest quality repair on Allen Bradley PLC's for over 20 years.
While each PLC5 module performs complex operations, our repair process is far from complex.
First, we start with the very basics of visually inspecting the unit. Upon verification that no hazards exist, we wire the defective unit into our Engineered System Test Fixture to validate the fault experienced by the end user.
In the case of a CPU, we make every attempt to save your program. This information is saved on our operating system and is cross-referenced by a unique tracking number assigned to the unit when it was received. This allows easy access in the future for any reason. This effort is critical to preserve your program during repair and is essential should your unit ever require replacement.
 Repair and Refurbish
  • The PLC5 module is completely taken apart and thoroughly washed to remove foreign contamination
  • After allowing the item to dry thoroughly, a Galco technician troubleshoots the unit to the component level – identifying and repairing the failure(s)
  • Questionable, suspect, and 'End of Life' components are replaced to minimize future maintenance requirements. This includes a fresh battery in all CPU's.
  • PC boards are sprayed with an acrylic conformal coating. This aids in keeping foreign material and contamination from causing potential failures in the future.
 Testing Methods
  1. Our Engineered System Test Fixture accommodates a vast majority of the SLC5/01 modules that are known to be in existence today. This allows the Galco's technician to immediately insert a suspect module into our fixture to determine its condition. Modules not currently supported by our fixture are easily accommodated with a simple change to our test program.
  2. Our Engineered System Test Fixture accommodates a vast majority of the PLC2 modules that are known to be in existence today. This allows the Galco technician to immediately insert a suspect module into our fixture to determine its condition. Modules not currently supported by our fixture are easily accommodated with a simple change to our test program.
  3. Repaired PLC5 CPU's are loaded with Galco's test program via the RSLogix 500 software
  4. I/O modules are fully exercised under load using Galco's CPU and test program
  5. All components of the repaired PLC5 operate on Galco's Engineered System Test Fixture for 24 hours to ensure a fully functional field unit. Real world application and use is simulated.
Only after successful testing is your saved program reloaded into your PLC5.
Galco's repair & refurbish procedure along with our best-in-class testing methodology gives you a comprehensive one (1) year warranty on every PLC we repair.
