Now at Galco; the ABB DCS800 DC Drive

MADISON HEIGHTS, MI -- Galco Industrial Electronics is proud to offer the newest product from the industry leader in variable speed drives; the DCS800 DC drive from ABB.

This family of DC drives has an operator control panel and commissioning functions that are user-friendly. Thanks to DCS-Link, the fast, high-performance peer-to-peer communication feature, data can be transferred between the ACS800 and the DCS800. The DCS800 can handle a wide range of industrial applications from mining to test rigs. Start up, maintenance and diagnostic assistants via the operator control panel are also part of the drives offering.

According to Galco's Product Manager, Jim LeDuc, "ABB has consistently offered the most complete portfolio of three-phase DC drives - from 9 kW (12 Hp) up to 18 MW (24,000 Hp). The DCS800 stands out with its internal three phase field exciter - no other additional external hardware is needed to use this feature. It also has a flexible fieldbus system with built-in Modbus and numerous internally mountable fieldbus adapters. Up to eight different languages can be set with the operator control panel including Russian and Chinese. Today's DC drive products from ABB offer state-of-the-art digital control technology."
