Cutler‑Hammer's E58 Harsh Duty series was designed to be the most rugged series of photoelectric sensors available. All models feature a durable metal housing built to stand up to against heavy shock and vibration. In addition the 303 stainless steel body is chemically resistant to various products encountered in industrial environments. There is also an optional 316 upgrade available for the body of all sensor models to further improve chemical resistance.
