I/O Modules
I/O modules are electrical components used for device communication, device control and operation timing. They can connect directly to external loads like sensors, actuators, motors and valves to send and receive feedback to a control system when the load is energized. They can also be used as accessory devices for PLCs and HMIs.

Modern I/O modules are compatible with advanced industrial communication protocols, built with Ethernet ports and supporting TCP/IP, Modbus, Sixnet, ARP, UDP, HTTP and many other network modes. I/O modules typically offer RS-485 serial and USB connectivity as well.

Simple modules will use pin connectors and provide feedback for up to four circuits. More complex equipment can swap between and automatically configure several channels, with programmable feedback states.

SLIMS Series Image
1781-Series of Slim input and output modules and solid-state relays provide compatibility with a variety of manufacturers' miniature modules. Slim modules have a hold-down screw, and can be used in mounting boards where vibration and shock are not of concern.
WRC4 Series Image
WRC4 Series Discrete I/O expands WRC's complete line of discrete I/O modules. These modules provide an indication LED and replaceable fuse. They also meet an industry de facto standard pin-out.

Designed for long, reliable service in demanding industrial enviroments, these modules provide optical isolation between logic-level control systems and external loads, such as motors, valves, solenoids, resistive heating elements, etc.. Output modules within the offer can switch loads up to 5 Amps at 24-280 VAC (Form A, SPST-NO, zero-crossing output), or up to 5A/3A at 100/200 VDC (Form A SPST-NO).

DISCRETE IO BOARDS Series Image
WRC offers an extensive range of mounting boards for all versions of WRC discrete I/O modules as well as other vendors modules. The general types available include:
  • 1781 slim series of mounting boards are available for 1, 4, 8 , 16, 24 , and 32 points of I/O and provide the space savings available by the use of the 1781 series of slim modules.
  • 1781 quad mounting boards are available for 24 or 32 points of quad I/O
  • WRC4 series of mounting boards provide a selection of 1, 4, 8, 16, and 24 points of I/O in different configurations to meet you application needs.
  • 1771 series of mounting boards are available to handle the slim, and 0.6 size modules in 8 or 16 point configurations.
Choose the logic side connection to meet your application from card-edge connector, 50-conductor header connector, or terminal screws for point to point wiring.
Mounting options include the traditional panel mounting swaged stand-off as well as the convenient DIN-Rail mounting.
All units are UL recognized and CE compliant.

Input Modules provide digital feedback to the control system when the load is energized and are available with inputs up to 280VAC/48VDC, with either a 5VDC or 24VDC logic-level output.
