When you send a Sterlco M3 controller to Galco, you put over 30 years of industrial electronic
repair experience to work for you. Galco has provided the highest quality repairs on Sterlco controllers since 1994.
Our qualified electronic technicians begin by performing a comprehensive visual inspection.
Next, every attempt is made to restore your Sterlco controller to like-new condition. Our technicians follow a very stringent repair and refurbish procedure to ensure customer satisfaction.
To guarantee full functionality, a thorough testing procedure is then performed.
The testing simulates a closed loop system to test all functions of the controller.
Repair and Refurbish
Controller is completely disassembled and washed to remove environmental contamination
After allowing the item to thoroughly dry, a Galco technician troubleshoots the unit to the component level – identifying and repairing the failure(s)
Degraded and common failure components are replaced to maximize the life of the controller and minimize future expense
PC boards are sprayed with a protective acrylic conformal coating. This aids in keeping contamination from causing potential failures in the future.
Testing Methods
The full operation of the keypad interface including keypad switches and display indicators is tested
All of the controller's Triac output(s) are tested under full load conditions
Our technicians verify the accuracy of all temperature inputs by using actual thermocouples and RTD's. After gathering this test data, we verify that the controller meets or exceeds OEM's specifications
Your Sterlco controller is then calibrated based on OEM's specifications.
Galco's repair & refurbish procedure along with our best-in-class testing methodology gives you a
comprehensive one (1) year warranty on every Sterlco Controller we repair.
