Extech's MO53 Pinless Moisture Meter is a handheld test instrument designed for non‑invasive moisture testing on wood and other building materials.
The MO53 can detect moisture at depths up to 0.75 inches (20mm) without inflicting any surface damage. This meter can measure moisture content up to 99% in wood materials, while moisture content in other building materials like wall board, sheet rock, cardboard, plaster, concrete and mortar are measurable up to 56%.
The easy‑to‑read display and simple three‑button operation combine for an intuitive user interface, with quick‑read icons to indicate low, medium and high levels of moisture. Built‑in battery check, measurement verification and auto power off ensure reliability in the field.
